Meyer-style post-mounted 10-key blackwood flute, fully restored, made c.1890 by G.Krywalski, Teschen. (see photo below). Note, it is NOT one of the "nach Meyer" factory knock-offs which were also made in the same period. The sounding length to low B is 24 1/2". The pitch is A=440. It has exquisite keywork and mechanically is in excellent condition. A couple cracks (none through embouchure) have been professionally repaired and all pads replaced. It plays with a nice rich robust tone down to low C (the B is a little weak but is rarely used). Could serve well for Celtic or period music. Most German concert flutists preferred exactly this type of flute for its tonal character over the Boehm flute, until well into the 20th century.
